Food was excellent , wait staff was friendly and took great care of our family . I had the fish tacos , absolutely awesome !! Thanks for a great family lunch .
Gentlemen - it was a pleasant October evening and we had after dinner desert on our mind. We decided to stop at Sea level 99 for cocktails and dessert. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted and offer a choice of seating of inside or outside. We decide on seating outside. It was not overly busy and we were soon greeted by the waiter. We order our cocktails while we decide on desert. This is where our relaxing and joyful evening start to go down hill. The waiter at no fault of his, had tell us that they had busy even the day before and thus were out of several items. We where told there was no homemade vanilla ice cream nor was there any coffee for the espresso machine. We could not understand how upscale restaurants that runs out of stock the day before makes no effort to restock on need supplies to meet customers request for the next day of service and then expects the customer to change his order. We had no choice but to change our order and felt disenchanted with service restaurant was offering. Once the desert arrived we were forced to retreat inside because large population of flies decided to join us for desert. We asked our hostess if they could spray to to prevent the flies and he stated they can’t spray because of health regulations. When a restaurant has a pest problem they have a duty to advice there clientele. We where shock at the large number of flies that descend on the outdoor table. We snap a photo to give you an understanding of the issue. We are hopeful that management makes the necessary changes to bring back the upscale atmosphere. If Sea level 99 keeps up the current trend of service and pest problem we will seek out a restaurant with higher standards of our business.
e had a large party of nine, including three children. Our meals were wonderful as was our service! The steak porterhouse was huge and very good. The waitress waited until it was cut to make sure it was done as ordered. The crabcakes were excellent. The stripped bass was a very nice portion and quite a meal. One ordered the fish tacos and it was a meal in and of itself. We hope the restaurant does not change a thing! We came back twice during our time here and plan on coming back next year.
We like 99 a lot for happy hour, as their appetizers and drinks are very good. Dinner was a tad disappointing. My buffalo burger was very good but my husband's veggie pasta was really horrible. A bowl of noodles with a couple pieces of vegetable and basically no sauce and no flavor. Wonder what in the world the chef was thinking on that one. The waiter was nice but the service was very slow. We'll go back, but probably just for happy hour.
Beautiful beach and ocean views for one of the few (maybe 2?) ocean front dining experiences in Bethany. We like sitting at the bar where you can enjoy their freshly made unique cocktails and enjoy food from the menu. Get to know the bartenders ... they're all friendly! Food prices are a bit over the top for us locals but you can get some good value with the Wagyu burger and salads. We keep going back so they're doing something right!
